1967 Press Photo Philadelphia IRS clerks check microfilm records of returns

This is an original press photo. Philadelphia - Clerks in the IRS office answer complaints by checking microfilm records of ledger pages of returns records. A computer makes two copies of the magnetic tape and also prints records on ledger sheets. These sheets are copied on to film so that complaints or error questions can be checked on microfilm viewers without physically looking at ledger pages which are turned out on a high speed printer such as in lower photo. Photo measures 8 x 10.5inches. Photo is dated 04-09-1967.
