This chest of drawers is over 130 years old and dates from the late Edo period to the early Meiji period.

This item is an antique Japanese modern item that has 12 drawers and is great for storing documents, etc.

The metal fittings are decorated with old iron warabi.

The front panel is not painted and is finished with a wood finish using clear antique wax.

The edges and frame are painted semi-gloss black, and the contrast between the wood color of the front board and the black frame creates a nice modern Japanese impression.

The front plate is made of paulownia wood, and the frame and drawer are made of cedar wood.
There are some stains on the drawer that cannot be removed.

It has been thoroughly polished and cleaned with antique wax, and the drawer has been adjusted to make it smooth, so it is ready for immediate use.
