This Ohio paper ballot measures approx. 2 3/4" by 9 1/4" and has been printed on light yellow paper - a rarity. At the top in ink is written "Cuyahoga" and below McClellan's portrait is an extract from his letter of acceptance: THE UNION MUST BE PRESERVED AT ALL HAZARDS. There are some edge tears and the eyes have been punched out with needle-like precision with another tiny hole in the center of the ballot (in the "R" of "For" in "For Electors"); otherwise, very good condition. Thanks for looking at this auction.
