The statue is titled "Running in the Spring Breeze" by Tomioka Naoki. It is characterized by the impressive depiction of a Shiba dog, a breed representing Japan, running. When shipped, it comes with a stand that has the title written on it, a paper with the artist's biography, and a wooden box signed by the artist.
Tomonaga Naoki (富永 直樹 ), real name Tomonaga Yoshio, was born on May 18, 1913 (Taisho 2nd year) and passed away on April 11, 2006 (Heisei 18th year). He was a Japanese sculptor who received numerous awards including the Order of Culture. He was born in Nagasaki City, Nagasaki Prefecture.
