Description

I have been playing Guild guitars since the mid 1970's and still own some that I bought back then.  When you buy a Guild they are in your collection for years, because the quality is there.

About this gutar:
The Polara Traditional is a discontinued model that has been replaced by a less expensive model that is made in China instead of South Korea like the Traditional model.  This guitar came directly from Guild to my supplier, it has never been sold retail.  The protective covers are still on the pick guard, truss rod cover and back plate.  It was inspected and tested by a team of factory authorized technicians.  The electronics are working as designed, the neck is straight with no issues, and the set up is to factory specs.  When we polished the guitar we found some light blemishes in the finish.  We were able to buff a lot of them out, but you will still find some light ones.  They are very light and only show if you are holding the guitar with the light at an angle, no one will ever see them when you are playing.

Here is what Guild says about the S-100 Traditional:

Guild style from the ’70s is back and better than ever with the return of the solid-body S-100 guitar. With its solid and slightly offset mahogany body, the new S-100 Polara™ evokes its esteemed and hard-rocking predecessor of more than 40 years ago. Responsive and versatile, it also features a distinctive 24 3/4″ scale, classic Black finish, rock-solid mahogany neck, and a potent pair of Guild HB-1 pickups.  The welcome return of a true Guild classic.

FAQ, frequently asked questions

Why are instruments sent to a refurbisher?  The instrument could be a discontinued model, have a finish imperfection, or need a minor repair.

Who refurbishes your instruments?  All of my instruments come from the largest and best refurbisher in the country, where any issue found is corrected by a factory trained and authorized luthier.

Does a refurbished instrument have the manufacturer warranty?  No, any instrument sent to a refurbisher, regardless of the reason it was sent there, no longer carries the manufacturer warranty.

Will I need to set up my instrument when I receive it?  All of my instruments have been set-up before shipping, so most are ready to play out of the box.  However some instruments may need a minor adjustment after shipping due to changes in temperature, humidity, and  getting bumped around during shipping.

What identifies an instrument as being refurbished?  Most refurbished instruments have a small used stamp on the back of the head stock.  This is to prevent an unethical dealer from concealing the fact that the instrument was sent to a refurbisher.
