On Offer: A very nice example of a rare antique Disston & Morss 8" Try Square with a level and scribe in the handle.  The square is complete and i  very good antique condition.  The blade is marked Disston & Morss, Cast Steel.  The blade has staining and rust consistent with a 150 year old tool.  The level vial is clean and in good shape.  The bubble is clearly visible.  The scribe fits tightly in the rosewood handle.  The Disston & Morss division of Disston Saws operated between 1867 and 1879.  With the death of Mr. Morss in 1879, tools manufactured by the division were marked Disston and Sons.  The try square would be a very nice addition to a collection.

Most of the items I sell are vintage or antique and as such may not be perfect.  I do my best to try and describe the item fairly and honestly in words and in photos.  I am not an expert in all areas and may make mistakes in my descriptions through lack of knowledge.  If after reviewing the description and photos, one has questions, please ask me prior to bidding.
I am glad to combine shipping to reduce cost if possible if one buys multiple items of what I have for sale.
