There are some very subtle imperfections on the underside that are manufacturing flaws. These are not scratches and are only visible when they catch the light at certain angles. (See photos)

A wonderfully expressive ride that draws its heritage from the great cymbal makers from the old Zildjian factory in Istanbul, Turkey.

Turkish B20 bronze cymbal with raw upper surface and lathed underside.

Two types of hammering - shallow and deep - give a complex mix of frequencies.

The raw finish helps control the wash and crash and maintains great stick definition.

The result is a very expressive cymbal with warm, dark, complex tones. Clear, woody sticking never gets overrun by the controlled, deliciously smokey wash that summers underneath.

The cymbal quickly opens up on the edge to give a raw, trashy crash with controlled sustain.

The bell is ‘integrated’ and adds further character and tones to coax from this great cymbal.
