Mon Desir (French for "my desire") was one of the most historic restaurants in the Southern Oregon area for 50 years. In the 1970s, the restaurant was listed among the top 250 North American dining establishments. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981. The restaurant closed it's doors in 2005 and the historic building burned to the ground in 2010.
