I don't know much about this piece other than what I was told, which is that it's an antique sewing basket from the 1800s. This charming handcrafted piece measures approximately 8 x 8 x 5". The solid exterior construction is gorgeous with its wood frame, twisted weave and secure handle. The interior definitely shows its age with what used to be lined with sage colored silk. I thought about removing the silk (it's possible) and leaving the basket bare but thought someone may like it just the way it is. Although it's worn, it would still make a beautiful display piece or a lovely restoration project. Being sold as is.
