An excellent account of the life of this Indian scout and his activities on the Arizona frontier; Geronimo, John Clum, Tombstone, Al Sieber, Tom Horn, San Carlos Reservation, etc. The author was born on a horse ranch in the Tonto Basin, Gila County, Arizona Territory and was well versed in Apache legend and Mickey Free. In fact the author, at fifteen years old in 1912, met with Mickey Free three times and became friends with his son and two daughters, thus this book was written in his later life from those meetings and conversations. Illustrated with old photographs. 239 pages. The book and DJ are both still very good and clean.
