This listing is for a Nagra 3 tape recorder. This was the iconic model used in the 60's for both reporting and motion picture sound recording.
This particular one is in good condition, and as far as I can test it works very well. My testing is limited to the playback of a known good recording, the sound is good and the speed seems accurate. Looking at the 50hz strobe wheel it seems the speed is correct. Rewind and fast forward (such as the function was) work fine.

The machine has been modified as many have, it has an additional 3 pin XLR on the opposite end to the mic socket, I'm assuming this is either a second input (its the right gender socket for that) or possibly an output. The case is slightly pushed in at that end where the socket is mounted, presumably it has been bumped on that end or pushed. Internally there is no damage to any of the electronics or mountings as a result of this.

The machine comes with an original power supply, a copy (modern) power supply and some cables for adapting the 4mm output sockets to XLR. I will also include the recorded tape I used to test it. The original power supply works fine (as does the copy one)

Being realistic this machine is older than me. I have tested it as far as I can but I do not have a microphone or anything else to connect ot it to test it further. The machine has some marks on it from 60 years of use but is in overall good condition, it is not perfect nor has it been restored or renovated in any way.  I am selling it as is, if there are any faults beyond the scope of my testing then that is how it is, there is no returns or warranty on this item. PLEASE BE VERY CLEAR ABOUT THIS  and if that is not acceptable please do not buy it.

Will be well packed for shipping
