Extremely Rare Beautiful Circa 1900 French Art Nouveau Renaissance Revival 18K Gold Diamond Platinum Dolphin Fish Pisces Charles Murat Stick Pin 🐬 Fully hallmarked on the rosegold pin with the eagle head indicating it is composed of 18K gold of French origin, and partially barely visible (not legible) goldsmith makers mark on the pin one third of the way down which would have been for Charles Murat. Weighs approximately 3.1 grams. Even though the goldsmith makers marks are not clear, I know it is by Charles Murat because I had an identical pair in the gold plated form which were completely mark with FIX and Charles Murat initials CM, so finding this pin from 18K gold is even more rare ! One tiny rose cut or old mine cut diamond within a circular platinum frame of approximately 2.25 mm (1.3/16 of an inch) in diameter. The entire stick pin is approximately 7.32 cm (2 14/16 inches) in length from 18K yellow gold motif tail tip top to bottom rose gold pin point, while the yellow gold dolphin fish motif is approximately 1.7 cm (10.7/16 of an inch) in height from tail tip top to bottom chin furthest edge, and approximately 1.34 cm (8.3/16 of an inch) at its widest from furthest center left curve edge to furthest center right curve edge. The reverse side is not decorated, plain following the curvatures of the decorative front dolphin fish motif.
