THE BOARD RESIDENCE - AGED DECORS. Bude, Cornwall presents...

A late 19th century grave marker from Northern France.

Decorative crucifix with its original corpus of Jesus Christ on a plinth base all cast from iron.

Discovered hidden away at the back of a French antique dealer's barn where it laid for many years.

Weathered to perfection with vibrant coloured lichens and rusty reds of aged iron.

Above the corpus is the initialism INRI which translates from Latin as  "Jesus the Nazarene, King of the Jews".

Super detailing throughout and the foundry makers mark at the base, although illegible in part.

In completely untouched, as found condition. Seldom will you see a grave marker crucifix complete with its original corpus.

Extremely heavy, damage free and simply remarkable from head to toe.

French religious decorative art of the finest quality.

One of a kind.
