Description

About this guitar:
This guitar came to my supplier directly from Jackson, it has never been sold retail, the protective covers are still on the back plates, pick guard and the backs of the tuners.  It was tested by a team of factory technicians, all electronics are working as designed, the neck is straight, the frets are level, and there are no cracks or dings on the body. When we polished the guitar we did not find any blemishes in the finish, the only thing we found is a tiny nick at the tip of the headstock.  I have included a close-up picture so that you can see how tiny it is, no one will ever see it when you are playing.

Here is what Jackson says about the Demmelition Fury PDT:

For more than 15 years, lead guitarist Phil Demmel contributed his hard-hitting, lightning-fast licks to thrash-and-groove metal outfit Machine Head. As Demmel forges ahead to his next chapter, he'll be well-armed with the all-new Pro Series Signature Demmelition Fury PDT - an affordable no-holds-barred metal axe that can hang with everything Demmel throws its way.

The Pro Fury PDT is loaded with distinguished features including a mahogany offset body, one-piece through-body maple neck with graphite reinforcement and scarf joint, and a 12"-16" compound radius bound laurel fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets and pearloid piranha tooth inlays.

EMG 81 and 60 humbucking pickups provide a detailed intensity of thick mids and big lows with soaring high ends. The 81 bridge pick up cuts through the densest leads, while the 60 neck pickup provides your heaviest playing with harmonic clarity.

This axe also features dual volume knobs, three-way toggle switch, Jackson TOM-style adjustable string-through-body bridge, Dunlop dual-locking strap buttons and Jackson pointed 6-in-line headstock. A fearsome beast built for mayhem, the Pro Fury PDT is draped in a stark Snow White finish with a black pickguard and black hardware.

This guitar weighs 8.5 pounds.

FAQ, frequently asked questions

Why are instruments sent to a refurbisher?  The instrument could be a discontinued model, have a finish imperfection, or need a minor repair.

Who refurbishes your instruments?  All of my instruments come from the largest and best refurbisher in the country, where any issue found is corrected by a factory trained and authorized luthier.

Does a refurbished instrument have the manufacturer warranty?  No, any instrument sent to a refurbisher, regardless of the reason it was sent there, no longer carries the manufacturer warranty.

Will I need to set up my instrument when I receive it?  All of my instruments have been set-up before shipping, so most are ready to play out of the box.  However some instruments may need a minor adjustment after shipping due to changes in temperature, humidity, and  getting bumped around during shipping.  Also some players like to set up a new guitar to their own personal preferences.

What identifies an instrument as being refurbished?  Most refurbished instruments have a small used stamp on the back of the head stock and are issued a new serial number.  This is to prevent an unethical dealer from concealing the fact that the instrument was sent to a refurbisher.
