Carl Anton Friedrich Engelhart (* 8. April 1817 in Mühlhausen/Thuringia; † 30 June 1886) was a German politician and mayor of his hometown from 1856 to 1883 and a member of the Prussian House of Lords from 1861 to 1883.

Life: Carl Engelhart was the third of eight children born to the notary Friedrich Gottlieb Engelhart and his wife Dorothea Friederika (b. Hoyer) to the world. After studying law like his father, he initially became a junior high court clerk.
