You are bidding on a bundle Pharmacy documents from 1901/02.

Concerns the granting of a concession to "Establishment of a pharmacy in Tutzing" to the examined pharmacists Gottfried Riemhofer in Munich (*1858; license to practice medicine in 1882 with grade 1).

Apparently, Riemhofer did not accept the concession because, according to an enclosed letter, the concession was given to the appr. pharmacists Alois Ziernbauer awarded in Munich (*1859; license to practice medicine in 1886 with grade 2). This can then be verified later as the owner of a pharmacy in Tutzing.

Among the applicants is the pharmacist Eduard Alzheimer in Stuttgart, a brother of Alois Alzheimer (after whom Alzheimer's disease was named).

From an estate of one of the competitors, the pharmacist Georg Weinzierl (* 24. March 1871 in Passau), assistant in the swan pharmacy in Munich.

April 1902: Weinzierl is sent back his application documents, "after the concession to set up and operate a pharmacy in Tutzing has now been granted by ministerial resolution of 21. March running jrs No. 6357 legally binding the appr. Pharmacists A. Ziernbauer in Munich."

About the pharmacist: Georg Weinzierl, b. on the 24th March 1871 in Passau. Pharmacist's assistant 1892/93 with Fleissner in Kaufbeuren, 1893 with Wegmann in Dorfen, license to practice medicine on 30. June 1897 (with grade 1). Active in Waldkirchen (1897/98), Mindelheim (1898/99), Schützenapotheke Munich (1899), Schwanenapotheke Munich (September 1899 to 1905 assistant to Anton Kreichgauer, 1905-1928 administrator of this pharmacy, where he worked for almost the entire 1st During World War II he practically ran the pharmacy alone, since Anton Kreichgauer was a prisoner of war in Malta), from 1928 finally the owner of a pharmacy, namely the Bergapotheke in Munich-Berg am Laim, Kreiller Str. 4 (the pharmacy is still at this address today). As early as September 1930, his wife Maria Weinzierl appears as the owner of this pharmacy. While Georg Weinzierl is still listed in the 1930 address book, Maria Weinzierl is listed as the pharmacy owner's widow in 1931; Georg Weinzierl must have died during this period.
