For sale is this excellent Selmer student oboe!

This is the hard to find 1292B with grenadilla wood body (they are now only available as the 1492B in plastic/resonite). This is an upgraded student-level instrument with modified conservatory keywork.

The oboe is in excellent condition and has only been very lightly used. It shows only minimal signs of wear. Even the Selmer logo looks perfect. The oboe has been cleaned and adjusted, and is ready to play! I have play tested the instrument myself and it plays very well from top to bottom. Nice warm sound and a very even scale. The oboe comes in a durable high-impact plastic case with fleece lining.

This would be perfect for a serious beginning oboe player. It would also make an excellent instrument for a doubler or teacher wanting the sound of wood with a simplified key system. The *plastic* 1492B is currently retailing for over $3,600 new. The wood 1292B is not even available any more. This is a great chance to own a quality beginner instrument at a fraction of the cost.
