The most popular Knee Support / Brace of the hinged range. This high quality neoprene sleeve, knee support brace has many features found in the larger MUSTANG range. Although shorter and slimmer overall, the Pinto offers a high degree of lateral support, as well as excellent torsional stability. 
 
Overall length is just 12ins (30cm), a slimmer lightweight design weighs just 400 gms (approx) Fitted with 2 adjusting straps allowing precise individual adjustment.
 
Unique self-centring hinges made from nylon composite (not steel) offer all the functionality as those of the MUSTANG brace. Easily worn under clothing and designed to provide protection and prevent injury during active / extreme SPORTS. Also helps to protect old injuries.
 
The Pinto brace is excellent for the support of mild instabilities of the knee, for situations of mild *ACL, *PCL instability and *LCL or *MCL tears. (*abbreviation guide below).
The added benefit of this particular brace is that it can provide support to users with patella (knee cap) problems providing extra control of the knee due to the open patella design. Unlike many other support braces available at present, the Pinto has removable hinges and thus can be used not only as a stand alone knee brace, but with the advantage of being used as a compressive support with the hinges removed. 
The Pinto is ideal for situations where some control of the knee is required against lateral, rotational and hyperextension. Can be worn as a preventative brace for everyday use and activities such as Ski-ing and Motocross. 
What you can expect from the Pinto:-
 
This brace is designed to give your knee good stability. You should expect this product to feel comfortable when worn yet offering lateral, rotational and hyper-extension control to the knee. As well as retaining full freedom of natural joint movement with no restriction. 
The brace will support the ligaments in cases such as stretched ACL causing mild instability or damaged MCL etc. The Pinto is a middle of the line brace offering good support for active people when returning back to their chosen activity. 
 
The Pinto is designed for use by people who require knee stability. It can help to control mild knee instability yet offer good support. 
Especially effective when worn as a preventative measure during active SPORTS.

* KEY to abbreviations:-
  • ACL :- Anterior Cruciate Ligament, The position of this ligament is in the centre of the knee and this connects the tibia to the femur and prevents the lower leg moving forward relative to the thigh.
  • PCL :- Posterior Cruciate Ligament, The position of this ligament is in the centre of the knee and is crossed by the ACL ligament.
  • MCL :- Medial Collateral Ligament, located on the inside of the knee. 
  • LCL :- Lateral Collateral Ligament, located on the outside of the knee.
 
Patella Buttress Pad ( see pictures above) A moveable horse-shoe shaped buttress pad that can be placed inside the knee support pocket to provide extra cushioning and support to the patella is now included FREE of charge with our Knee Support Brace range. Manufactured from 10mm thickness high density soft memory foam, the buttress pad provides good support to the patella when used in conjunction with the above range of knee support products. To fit simply slide the pad into the pocket around the knee cap area to the desired position before wearing. Inferior patella support, place the pad below the knee cap so it cups the underside of the knee. Superior patella support, place the pad above the knee cap so it cups around the upper area of the knee cap. Lateral patella support, place the pad so it is rotated 90 degrees to the knee cap with the lower part of the radius to the OUTSIDE of the knee. Medial patella support, place the pad so it is rotated 90 degrees to the knee cap with the lower part of the radius to the INSIDE of the knee. Manufactured from 10mm thickness high density soft memory foam, the buttress pad . Provides good support to the patella when used in conjunction with the above range of knee support products. To fit simply slide the pad into the pocket around the knee cap area to the desired position before wearing.
