The French brand Palladium was founded in 1920 and produced tires for the aviation industry.
Extreme stability was achieved by using canvas straps under the vulcanized rubber
of the products can be achieved. Soon the majority of the European air fleet was using them for their longevity
well-known Palladium tires. Later, the demand for aircraft tires collapsed dramatically.
Palladium set up a new production facility, not far from Lyon, in Pont de Cheruy, dedicated to manufacturing
of equally durable shoes. The know-how for the soles could be taken over from the tire production.
 
In 1947 the legendary 'Pampa' model was born, recognized for its functionality, comfort and
Longevity became the shoe of the Foreign Legion. The model proved itself in the harsh desert conditions north
Africa's to the rugged terrain of the Atlas Mountains.
 
Palladium has been combining authenticity, modern production and high-quality materials for over 70 years. New manufacturing processes
allowed to make the model even lighter and more comfortable. The timeless design of the 'Pampa' boot has been retained to this day.
