4 letters NEW YORK & Munich 1879-1912 to Mrs von Kunstmaler

You bid four letters to Auguste Susanne Lamprecht, b. stretch (born 5. Aug 1848, died 20. October 1933), since 1870 Wife of the painter Wilhelm Lamprecht (1838-1922). She is buried in the North Cemetery in Munich. One of her daughters was the wife of the publisher Ludwig Pustet (1870-1933).

Three letters come from the USA (the Lamprechts lived in the USA for many years).

1.) German-English letter from the USA, dated "thursday morning, Sept. 1912" (on the back of the cover is the date "5. September 1912").

Written in Flatbush (Brooklyn / New York), according to Postmark and text content ("... to Tapke's charming little home in Flatbush, where we have 2 very nice rooms") by a non-local ("... we landed safely at 5 o'clock").

Addressed to "Mrs. Painter Lamprecht, Munich, Bavaria, Schellingstr. 3."

Signature illegible; Salutation: "My dears!"

Mentioned is the Tapke family, the brother Hans (both live in New York).

2.) Three decorative letters from the daughter Käthe Lamprecht (I was not able to find out whether it was the later wife of Ludwig Pustet):

- for the New Year 1879 (dated Munich, 1. January 1879)

- on his birthday in 1880 (dated new york, 5 August 1880)

- for the New Year 1881, addressed to the parents (dated New York, 1 January 1881).

Enclosed a small old note with the inscription "Kätchen Lamprecht 1876 79 80 81".

From a bundle of documents, which also included documents from the brother Johann Streck (Generalleutnant, 1850-1914) and the granddaughter Gertrud Pustet (poet, *1903, daughter of Ludwig Pustet).

Condition: Cover 1912: stained and with edge damage; Envelope damaged (tears, flap loosened). Children's letters: Slightly browned, stained and creased; into the. Good. Please also note the pictures!

About Wilhelm Lamprecht (source: wikipedia):

Wilhelm Lamprecht (* 31. October 1838 in Altenschönbach (district of Prichsenstadt); † 19 March 1922 in Munich) was a German painter.
Nothing is currently known about Lamprecht's family of origin, youth and education. He emigrated to the United States and probably lived in Cincinnati (Ohio) as early as 1853. He died on the 19th. March 1922 at the age of 83 in Munich. His grave is in the Munich North Cemetery.
Family: Lamprecht married the German Auguste Susanne Streck (1848–1933) in Hamilton (Ohio) in March 1870. His daughter was the wife of the publisher Ludwig Pustet (1870-1933).
