A vintage print from 1966 published by Purnell in an art portfolio series.

After the painting by Joan Miro titled The Harbour ( The Port ) from 1945. Joan Miro was a Spanish artist , he was born in Barcelona 1893 , died 1983 Mallorca.

The original painting was 63 inches x 51 and Miro knew Picasso and admired his work but also had an interest in surrealism, both influences can be seen in this work. There seems to be at least one female form, possibly a whale centrally, colourful eyes dotted around, what look like breasts seem to feature strongly. I would be interested in learning the meaning of the piece.

Framed with a deep recessed teak wood surround behind glass and double mounted with complimenting grey card then a buff coloured inner mount.

 Measures 17.5 inches x 15 approx in total, image size 10.5 x 8 inches.

In good condition with no issues, presents well.

Interesting piece, good luck.
