This competition engine, equipped with a long-stroke bore-to-stroke ratio, provides the perfect base for any true off-road pilot whose goal is to be at the forefront. The engine, manufactured by the world-famous Japanese engine manufacturer OS, effortlessly accelerates every 1:8 buggy or Truggy and, in addition to excellent running characteristics, convinces with outstanding quality and moderate fuel consumption.

Of the M5S Ceramic is technically based largely on the B2103 Type-R from OS and has almost identical performance values, but has been improved and further developed in some areas according to Ultimate's specifications. This engine uses an extremely resilient rear ceramic bearing from Japanese production and a crankshaft finely balanced with the help of two tungsten weights, which is provided with a silicone filling to optimize the flow properties. In order to achieve an optimal balance between maximum performance and good driveability, as well as the lowest possible fuel consumption, the 21 22E carburettor is equipped with a 6.5mm aluminum venturi insert. The cooling head was deliberately made slightly higher, but at the same time significantly lighter, in order to ensure the best possible cooling in combination with a low center of gravity. Since the carburetor has a major impact on both the performance and running characteristics of an engine, the M5S was fitted with the 21 E22 carburetor, which boasts some interesting details. The solidly designed nozzle assembly has additional cooling fins to keep the temperature of the fuel supplied as low as possible. This benefits both the performance development, as well as the adjustability and idle behavior. Another useful feature is the two instead of one mounting option on the slider's uniball cuff, making it easier to adjust the position of the cuff without having to remove the motor.

The rear case cover is a further development of the original OS version and is CNC-machined from particularly hard Swiss 7075 T6 aluminum, which reduces connecting rod friction and material removal and increases the life of the cover. A special design makes it possible to remove the cover without having to pay attention to the position of the piston, so that damage is impossible. The B2103 crankshaft of the M5S3 delivers noticeably more power, especially in the lower speed range, and was optimized by the OS technicians in particular with regard to good flowability, to which the silicone filling contributes, among other things. The fine balancing of the crankshaft, carried out with the help of two tungsten weights, noticeably reduces imbalances and vibrations, which leads to better acceleration and a higher final speed. The ball bearings used are high-precision, high-performance bearings made in Japan, which lose none of their smooth running even at the highest temperatures and impress with an outstanding service life. The rear bearing features extremely durable and very light ceramic balls that further reduce friction. The barrel set is designed in the classic ABC design and has an outlet port in addition to the five inlet ports. It ensures a harmonious and extremely linear performance development. Pistons and connecting rods are made from a special, high-strength and very durable aluminum alloy.
