The “Filson Ripstop Nylon” series uses Cordura's 500D Cordura® ripstop nylon, a lightweight material that is comparable in strength and weight to Filson's signature material, Filson Ragit Twill.

Filson was looking for a material that would enable the production of bags with a design and structure that could not be produced with thicker fabrics such as Ragit Twill.

The material that passed the rigorous tests required by Filson and was selected as a material with performance comparable to that of Ragit Twill was Cordura's 500 Denier Ripstop Nylon.

The medium-thick 500-denier Cordura® nylon fabric is highly abrasion resistant, and the heavy-duty ripstop weave ensures exceptional tear strength.

The shoulder straps are ergonomically padded and come with adjustable sternum straps.

The rear of the bag against your back is equipped with a padded back panel.

Designed to withstand long treks.
