THIS ALONG WITH OTHERS OFFERED WERE ACQUIRED FROM A DESCENDANT OF A 19TH C SHIRTMAKER IN ZARAGOZA SPAIN. THIS WAS A SAMPLE OF THE BIB OF A MEN’S SHIRT. DEADSTOCK AND NEVER USED.
FINDING ANTIQUE CLOTHING AND TEXTILES IN SPAIN IS PARTICULARLY HARD AS WHEN A PERSON PASSED AWAY ALL WERE BURNED IN THE FRONT YARD. ITS CONSIDERED SHAMEFUL TO HAVE HELD ONTO THE ITEMS. A SHAME AS THE QUALITY AND CONSTRUCTION IS EQUAL TO THE FINEST OF FRENCH MAKERS.
