This is by far the rarest of the handful of Johnny Boyle LPs that were all privately pressed in the 60s and 70s, after he had already passed away. He was a great and popular singer of western and cowboy songs, and after he died his friends and family had a handful of records made from the recordings he left behind, of which this was the first. There is another by the same name but with a different cover and different songs, which was made later, I think in the early 70s, and that one is the most common. This was the first, I think around 1965 or so, and the rarest. Lots of songs here you don’t get on the other ones. A real rarity and now quite a western classic. And this copy is just beautiful. The disc is very nearly perfectly mint and plays flawlessly and just beautifully. The cover has only minor shelfwear, with a slight ring on the back and slight cornerwear. Really this is a top copy, hard to beat.
