Taken from a new Traxxas Bandit VXL, also fits XL-5.

Note: The rear shocks on the bandit use a slightly shorter x-long shaft, whereas all other Traxxas cars fitted with Ultra shocks use the xx-long shaft. This can be used to give a lower stance e.g. on a rustler 2wd.

Fits most Traxxas 1/10 scale RCs including Slash Rustler Bandit Stampede 2wd & Slash Rustler Stampede Hoss Rally 4x4.

Can also be used on many other 1/10 scale RCs from other makes, ball ends fit standard M3 bolts.

Spring rates and shock oil weight varies depending on which model of car they are from, see above.
Oil weight and spring part numbers can be found in the manual or on the exploded diagram under the support section for the model on the Traxxas website.

Traxxas Ultra shock common features:
-Usually identified with grey plastic body
-New updated caps with ball ends which are less prone to popping off.
-Larger than standard 1/10 scale shocks, closer to 1/8 size.
-Fronts 87mm, rears 102mm approx between ball ends.
-Fully rebuildable with inexpensive parts.
-Springs and other parts are all interchangeable between Ultra shocks.
-Comes with 30wt - 50wt oil depending on model.
-Most use the 'L' length shaft for the front and 'XXL' for the rear. Some models e.g. Bandit use a shorter 'XL' rear shaft.
-Most models use the L length body for the front, XXL for the rear.
-Some models use a travel limiter, as a plastic spacer fitted internally or a blue rubber cone fitted externally.

Note: Although there is a range of progressive springs for the ultra shocks with different rates, the standard springs do not have specified spring rates, but are available in several different rates despite looking very similar. e.g. Hoss 4x4, Rustler 4x4 and Rustler 2wd each use different non-progressive front springs.
