When plugged in The radio tubes buzz, the clock second hand works and the hands do turn with the time, I did not leave it plugged in long enough to time it. The volume and tuning nobs work ( turn) and the tuning nob makes the indicator move. This piece is a great collectible piece to restore it did not work I did not leave it plugged in long as the cords plastic coating has hardened and I felt it needed to be checked out before use.
