Gibson J-45 2001 (2001)

Since its release in 1942, Gibson's Working Horse J-45 has been loved by many musicians throughout the era, and has preserved the sound of each time in many masterpieces.
From its release to the present, this model remains popular as Gibson's representative model and one of the standard acoustic guitars.
This time we have 2001s J-45.
From the late 1990s until 2006, when Mr. Yamano left the agency, various versions of the J-45 were released, including the 1963J-45 and the 1960;s J-45, but this one was released in 2001. This is the most regular J-45.
However, unlike the current J-45 Standard, the pegs are independent plastic knob Kluson type.
The paper label inside the body and the orange label are probably the secret to Gibson's popularity during the old distributor days!

Sitka spruce TOP, mahogany SIDE & BACK, mahogany NECK, rosewood fingerboard & bridge, scallop bracing, actual 43.2 mm nut, 16 inch round shoulder with 24.75 inch scale.
The neck is narrower and thicker than the current reissue, and I think this is a neck grip that is easy for everyone to play! The sunburst coloring is also a slightly darker sunburst than the current model. , I think this spec is irresistible for those who like a cool look!

The sound is an exciting Gibson sound! It has a pleasant crunchy sound. A bouncy low, a compressed middle, a glossy yet short sustain, and a very Gibson-like high all come together to create a powerful yet light J-45 sound.
If you strum it with a flat pick, you will get a moderately violent sound typical of Gibson, with a powerful and dynamic sound, and even if you strum it with your fingers, you will get a moderate amount of sustain and overtones from the scallop bracing. Regardless of your play style or genre, you can enjoy the exciting J-45 sound that only Gibson can offer! Also, this model comes with Fishman's Matrix Nat-1 by default. Equipped with a pickup, it's ready for live performances and recording!

The condition of the instrument is that it has scratches, signs of use, age, and wear due to its age, but it is well-adjusted as a playing instrument.
There are some noticeable dents on the top of the body, and there are some noticeable scratches on the back, so it is not suitable for those who are looking for an extremely beautiful item with no scratches, but Gibson should be worn to some extent. If you think it's cool, I don't think there's anything particularly interesting about it.
The top and sides of the body are weather checked to reflect the age, giving it a dignified appearance.

The neck condition is good and generally straight, and the current string height is about 2.6mm on the 6th string and 2.0mm on the 1st string above the 12th fret, which is the best setting.
The saddle is also a little more OK, so you can further fine-tune the string height.
As for the frets, you can only see traces of the strings on the low frets, and even at the lowest point, about 90% of the original height remains.

This is a piece with a look and sound that gives you a sense of dignity that is not found in new products!

Unfortunately, a general-purpose hard case is included.
