1984 Press Photo Gymnast Mitch Gaylord competes and relaxes in hot tub
This is an original press photo. UCLA's Mitch Gaylord works his routing on the pommel horse (top left/right). Gaylord, the 1984 United States Gymnastics Federation all-around men's champion will have the distinct advantage of performing on his home floor including his specialty the parallel bars (bottom left) at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion during the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. Gaylord has a chance to relax from the long hours of training (bottom middle) that will lead to the competition of his lifetime in the Olympic Games. The spotlight will be on Gaylord this summer when he'll do handstands (bottom right) in an effort to win a medal in front of the hometown crowd.
