Gorgeous, late 19th century, bronze/ brass, peacock fan, Louis XV style, fireplace screen. This fireplace screen is made of bronze/ brass. This isn't like the many others available from the early to mid century. Features the face of a Greek God (Faunus or Pan) on the base on each side, lion feet in front and back, intricate detailing of filigree cut-out on the fan insides, unique style finial, velvet sliders behind each fin and solid latches to lock the screen shut when not in use. The fins are much thicker than their more recent counterparts. Use the zoom in feature to see all the amazing details. This is a very large and solid piece and would make an exquisite addition to your fireplace.
