Photos of actual mic to follow soon..

This vintage BEYERDYNAMIC M 200 N(C) microphone from the mid/late 1980s is a rare find.

This mic is equally suitable for both studio and live performances, and was designed to be as such.

It is a superb vocal mic, clear and bright but with a lovely rounded, warm smooth sound at the same time.  To my ears this is a much more natural sounding mic than the Shure SM58 or SM57 and a much nicer sounding mic on instruments than the M 201.  It has a good high output level, so it doesn't have to be driven too hard, but it can equally handle being placed in front of instruments like a sax or trumpet or even a snare without distorting.

To quote from the Beyer Data sheet...

"The M 200 is a moving coil microphone designed for high output. Its frequency independent cardioid pickup pattern produces exceptional feedback suppression.  The M200's response is precisely tailored to enhance vocal performances, with a mid range presence boost for intelligibility and a proximity effect for a warm, full sound.

The M200 gives excellent results in recording and reinforcement of vocals and is a versatile instrument microphone".

The mic is in excellent used condition, it's working perfectly and has virtually no marks or wear to the finish or grill, in fact it almost looks like a new mic, which is amazing for one that's nearly 40 years old.. It is still in its original storage case, (which does show signs of use and wear) it comes with the correct Beyer mic clip which shows marks from use, and a soft storage pouch.  A new printout of the beyerdynamic data sheet on card is included.  Please see all the photos.  The last two photos are scans of the data sheet for info.
