Mid-19th century Massive English Multi-tools Sportsman/horseman Folding Knife with Flame. Morton, G. & J., 39 Cheapside, London

This type of knife was specially designed to be used for heavy outside works.

The main blade with locking catch, seven subsidiary blades and tools including screwdriver, corkscrew, bradawl, nail file type blade, button-hook, secondary blade and spike. Additionally it has pull out tweezers, toothpick/needle and  veterinary flame

All blades stamped *G & J. Morton 39 Cheapside* for George and Joseph Morton, a blade shop in London with the address 39 Cheapside.

The knife features genuine deer stag scales with nickel silver fittings and plate with the owner’s name *J. Beeston*

Nice hand file work on the releasing pump and on the springs of the corkscrew and bradawl

The knife remains in excellent conditions, all blades and tools look to me to be in full profile and everything works  properly. Superficial crack-line on the rear scale.

This massive folder measures 11,5 cm long when folded and 20 cm when main blade is out
