This auction is for a used Factory chrome plated 27 inch replacement fork.  The fork was removed from a 1978 Schwinn Suburban.  The Factory stamping on the stem is so light that the manufacture name is not readable.

This fork could be the correct replacement for many Schwinn models which uses a 27 inch wheel, such as the Continental, Varsity, LeTour, Caliente, Suburban, Traveler, World, Sportabout, Tourist, and many others.

Both dropouts are nice and straight and the steer tube is approximately 7 1/4 inches long with 2 1/4 inch of perfect threads and its O.D. is 13/16.

There are NO Bends, NO Dents, NO Cracks, and NO Rust.

In general, this 40+ year-old “Old Survivor” shows very well, on a condition scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this fork an excellent “Rider Quality”, 8 out of 10.
