Nice example of later model L-6S with upgrades to make is a little more conventional.   Original body, paint, fixed neck, ebony fingerboard, pearloid dots, frets, and strap buttons.   Period correct Schaller tuners.   Upgrades/replaced parts: Electronics are new CTS with volume, volume, master tone config.  DiMarzios with nickel covers added (Air Norton neck/PAF Master bridge).    New three position switch with chrome tip.  Pickguard, pickup surrounds and truss rod cover are replacements.  Comes in Gibson gig bag pictured.  81570xxx serial no.

The wood visible on bass side of neck is smooth, honest play wear and cannot really be felt at all with thumb.  Overall good condition with minor dings, scratches and checking.   Middle speed knob has some cracking inside it.  Wide Gibson frets don't show much wear at all.  Comfortable medium neck - a joy to play with nice range of tones.   Tends to be brighter due to the thin maple body, but can generate some nice warmth as well.  Weighs 7.7 lbs.  All work was done about six years ago.
