Up for auction is a Gilbert Brothers & Company empty Orange Extract bottle from the late 1800's or early 1900's.  The Gilbert Brothers & Company was out of Baltimore, Maryland and operated from about 1870 until about 1930.  The bottle stands a little over 6" tall, 2" wide and 1" deep.  The original box is included although not in very good condition and very fragile.  The bottle is empty and has the original paper label still attached.  The label is full of writing so please see photo.  The bottom of the bottom only has the number "2" embossed.  The mouth of the bottle looks to have used a cork but it no longer exists.  There is no other writing on the bottle sides.  The bottle and the box are very dirty right now with what I believe is coal soot probably from a coal burning stove.  We are not really sure where we got it but our guess is that it came from my wife's grandmothers' house. I do not claim to be an expert on old bottles so if you want to set me straight on something I am willing to listen.  If you have any questions I would be more than happy to answer them.  Appreciate the interest.

I always do my best to get the buyer the best shipping rate I can.  If the estimate is over and above the actual cost I will refund you the difference.
