Not all Very Fine (VF) grades are created equal, in particular for early copper/bronze coinage. Even higher straight mid-graded examples can have flat or mat appearing gritty surfaces and mottled coloring. Quite the opposite here strong : This example has strong devices and full “liberty” against even light wear from circulation; pleasing uniform chocolate brown coloring ; surfaces are choice smooth and glossy ; Overall a very satisfying and original scarce IHC with exceptional eye appeal for the grade.
