This is a Stunning and Desirable piece of British Gold and Gemstone Jewellery. Made in 9ct Yellow Gold it is a Ring with an Oval Garnet to the Centre, an Oval Cabochon of Opal to each side and a Round Garnet to either side of that on Scrollwork Design Shoulders. It is Fully Hallmarked on the inside of the shank as photographed with GC for the Maker's Mark, 375 for the Gold Purity, the Rose Mark for Sheffield Assay Office, the Crown Mark for Gold, the Date Letter b for 2001 and it has been electronically tested at a precious metal refinery to confirm the Gold Content. It weighs 2.1g, is a UK size T or approx. a US size 9 3/4 and the band measures 1.8mm wide to the underneath of the shank. The Central Garnet measures 6mm long x 4mm wide, the Opals measure 5mm long x 3.5mm wide and the Round Garnets measure 3.5mm diameter. I have marked the Ring As Found because though there is no damage there is some surface wear to the Garnets and even more to the Opals which can be seen in the photos. I have tried to show this specifically in the last photo and though it does detract it is not as noticeable from a distance as when looking closely with a Jeweller's Loupe and it might be possible to have the Opals in particular repolished.
