About the GUCCI Spring Summer 2019 Collection:

The runway show was held in Paris, at Le Palace, an old theatre in the Montmartre district.  It paid tribute to Italian theatrical visionaries Leo de Berardinis and Perla Peragallo. Their method brought feelings of nostalgia and new thoughts on politics through fragmented plots and visionary performances.

In the show, there were clashes of colors and textures. Males wearing flowery dresses and females dressed in more structured suits with padded shoulders.

There were nods to Le Palace's days as a Parisian Nightclub in the 1970's and 1980's, with large framed glasses and padded shoulders.

It was a historic show and received great reviews for its original Avant Garde nature.
