Large print of Pininfarina design studio artist Fedele Bianco’s tempera and pastel rendering of the Pininfarina-designed 1946 Alfa Romeo 2500 SS. Bianco started working with Pininfarina right after World War II, and after exporting himself to the United States in 1950, became a well-known designer at the General Motors Technical Center.
In the era of automotive design before the precision of computerized renderings, Pininfarina used these renderings to give customers a feel for the car’s design and “personality.”
