Offering a unique piece of concept art, a
watercolor-and-ink on artist’s board rendition of “Horseworld” – a tourist
attraction with a stadium and stables, numerous visitor outbuildings, and greenery. Faintly sketched in the background are
recreational vehicles, parking, a road, and trees (including a couple
palms). No horses in image. Architectural design concepts prevail.
We obtained this from the Ocala-Gainesville area of
central Florida, an area famous for its horses.
Board is 30”W by 23”H.
Image is 25”W x 19.5”H. Mat included. The board is Crescent,
purchased at Chesnut’s in Gainesville (~1935-1995). Estimated age 1960s or later.
Signed “Gaye” in lower right. Beautifully executed with delicate linework
and splashes of color, including silver accents that shine under direct light
(see photo). Unique piece.
Very good condition with no issues beyond faint spotting
to margins that are covered by the mat, plus uniform image toning from being
displayed. Details and colors crisp.
See photos for details.
No-hassle returns. Shipped flat.
(Note: Glass is
available if local pick-up.)
Payment expected at time of purchase. Thank you.
