Very reluctant sale, I’ve held onto this for as long as I could but now has to make way. 

1951 Ford F5 COE cover over engine. 

I have owned for a number of years slowly getting bits done, I used a DAF FA45 10ton truck as the donor and has from it currently done - 

Front and rear axles bolted up, steering connected.

Cummins 6bt engine with the Bosch rotary pump and ZF 6 speed manual gearbox with PTO and hydraulic pump yet to go on. 

It has a Holset HX40 turbo fitted with exhaust flange made ready for an exhaust system to be fitted. 

12volt starter and alternator fitted. 

Cooling system is done with a DAF LF45 radiator. 

Basic engine wiring is connected and turns over from the key.

Pedal box fitted. 

Fuel tank fitted behind seats and fuel system complete.

The major areas to do amongst others are - 

Propshaft which I have ready to be cut down- or a new one made. 

Air drier/tanks braking valves - which I have kept from the donor. 

Gear linkage from donor to adapt and fit. 

Intercooler to mount and plumb. 

Throttle pedal would need manufacturing. 

Brakes all need connecting up. 

Front and rear shocks would need mounting and brackets made, the truck never originally had shock absorbers. 

Gearbox needs mounts finishing. 

Intake system needs mounting I have the filter box. 

Interior engine cover panels to adapt and refit. 

Seats to fit, I have bench seats from a rover I was going to fit or the originals are still there for the bases etc. 

gauges I have and would need fitting with correct sensors etc. 

Lights and wiring all would need doing, new switches for the majority of things present. 

I have likely missed a lot. But please ask any questions. 

Tax and MOT exempt, is registered and I have the V5C. 

Would need collecting on a heavy duty trailer and decent tow vehicle or a recovery truck. 

It weighs approx 2.5tons I would say. 

Is 7 foot high ish and 7 wide, and 17 long. 

I would prefer bank transfer on collection but would take cash. Please make sure you can pay the full amount on collection as it will not be leaving until full payment has been made. 

This is a project vehicle with lots to do to make it roadworthy. It is sold as seen and I will not take a return for any reason.
