1800's $1 The Bank of the Valley in Virginia note from Winchester, VA.

This bank operated from 1818 until it failed in the 1860's and had 6 different branches.

This note features a detailed Vignette of Liberty and a bare-breasted Justice seated by a large shield with a "Virginia" banner at the bottom. This Vignette is flanked by cameo heads topped with dragons!

This note grades Crisp Uncirculated.
