From the estate of my neighbor who recently passed away, she had grown up in Japan, went to high school in Japan in the 50’s, the daughter of a military officer who collected Japanese and Chinese antiques while in the service and stationed in Tokyo.

I am not an expert on these, but did have it looked at by a specialist who told me what it was and that he thought it was about a hundred years old.

In wonderful condition, very beautifully rendered. It had been in the same china cabinet for the last 50 years.
