Legendary singer Billy Joel closed out the Grammy Awards with a sensational performance that wowed audiences. Billy Joel lifted the roof of the house at tonight’s Grammy Awards by performing his first new single in 30 years. The 74-year-old was joined by wife Alexis, 41, and their daughters at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Joel, who has sold out Madison Sqaure Garden over 150 times, had not sung solo at the Grammys since 1994 where he performed The River Of Dreams. Wearing some tinted glasses and a black leather jacket, Joel sang new song ‘Turn the Lights Back On’. The audience got to their feet to applaud the legendary singer, who then came back after Taylor Swift’s best album win to close out the show.
2. THE 100TH: BILLY JOEL AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN – THE GREATEST ARENA RUN OF ALL TIME 03/14/24: This concert is historic because not only is it the 100th performance at Madison Square Garden but also also the very first time ever that Billy Joel’s has a full concert broadcasted on national network television. The concert special was shot at Joel’s record-breaking 100th consecutive performance at Madison Square Garden as part of his franchise run on March 28th 2024. Joel has sold out Madison Square Garden more than any other artist.
Since his first show at the venue on Dec. 14, 1978, through his final residency show this past July, every single one of Joel’s concerts at Madison Square Garden has been sold out.
