You are bidding on one Fragment of an account book, lead by 1786 to 1789 from the official administrator, manor owner and Owner of the Wendenhammer hammer mill Johann Gottfried Cloeter (1741-1822) in Schwarzenbach an der Saale, who came from a Huguenot family.

A son of his, the pastor Flamin Cloeter (1790-1848), a pen friend of the poet Jean Paul, was the father of the pastor Samuel Gottfried Christoph Cloeter (1823-1894), founder of the Gnadenburg emigrant settlement in the Russian Caucasus.

Johann Gottfried Cloeter is not mentioned by name; However, the manuscript was found in a bundle of letters from him; It is also clear from the content that the manuscript was written from the perspective of the owner of the hammer mill.

The Hammer mill turning hammer was in the Hebanz (Marktleuthen) area.

Available pages 81-150 (including five pages blank); into the. so are 65 written pages (32.5 x 20.3 cm) available.

Almost 40 pages related to the Wendenhammer hammer mill itself (including expenses for wages for the shift foreman, but also for tobacco, probably for the workforce; iron sold on the credit side, etc.).

Other categories include Gerber and "council friend" Wilhelm Bauer here, the blacksmith Kaufmannstein in Wurlitz (with a note: "the two pieces of paper submitted by the blacksmith are in the file: about the lease of the Martinlamizer hammer mill"), the master blacksmith Raithel, the Blacksmith Russ in Förbau.
