SHEPARD FAIREY - "ALICE BAG"

Here is another screen print by Shepard Fairey/Obey Giant. It celebrates his love of Punk Rock and the history of the Punk Rock scene. This print is Shepard's version of an unusual photograph of Punk musician Alice Bag taken by Melanie Nissen of Slash Magazine. It is signed by Shepard and Melanie Nissen.

In Shepard's own words, ...
"The Bags did not put out a lot of music, and it was hard to find. However, in reading books about the LA punk scene like “We Got The Neutron Bomb” and “Lexicon Devil,” as well as the Slash magazine book, I realized that Alice was a very important figure in the LA scene who has continued to make great music and is an outspoken champion of LatinX and feminist causes. She’s also a very nice person."

It is in near mint condition and has been stored flat in an archival sleeve since I acquired it.

Thank you for your consideration.
