Superb Australian Red Cedar Bookcase or Display Cabinet.

Probably 19th century.

Purchased from an antique shop in Queensland 40 years ago for $2500 and has been in the same home ever since. 

Very good condition overall. Top and bottom sections will come apart for moving. Lock for the bottom section still works and has the original key. Top section lock does not work and there is no key but the glass doors stay closed with no problem.

At some stage the latch on the inside of the right bottom door has been replaced with a more modern piece as shown. Original sawtooth shelf system.
