USING A MANUAL LENS

Using a manual lens effectively on your Canon EOS M camera will take practice, but it will give you full creative control over the images you shoot and will significantly improve your skills in photography. Here are the three most basic things you need to know to get you started. 1) You must focus the lens manually turning the lens focus barrel. 2) You must set your camera to either Manual Mode or Aperture Priority Mode. 3) You must enable the "Release Shutter Without Lens" function in your camera settings. You may need your camera's manual for guidance on changing this camera setting.
