Jotul 601 Classic Cast Iron Wood Burning Stove. Matt Black Finish. 5” Top Or Rear Flue Exit

The Jøtul 601 is one of Jøtul's timeless cast iron wood burning stoves and has been a bestselling wood stove for many years.

The Jøtul 601 has been standing steady on its little feet in Norwegian and international homes for generations and is expected to bring happiness to many future generations as well.

Sold as seen. Please see all photos. This stove has been stripped down, thoroughly cleaned and rebuilt. The stove has been fitted with a new replacement cast iron flue spigot and blank plate.

The original Jotul side panels of the stove are in good condition for their age - 1970s. However each side has a hairline crack in its middle. The cracks have been drilled at each end to prevent them from growing further. The holes have been sealed with fire cement and the cracks themselves have been filled with fire cement from the inside of the stove. Please see all photos.

The stove has been completely repainted HotSpot heat treated stove black paint. This will smoke up on the first few light ups as the paint cures to the stove.

This is a practical wood stove with both personality and character. It is easy to install in a room, it is heat efficient and comes with an original Jotul cooking plate on its top.

Fully fitted with original Jotul cast iron throat / top baffle plate and new replacement 6mm black steel side burn plates. This stove's flue is interchangeable and can be fitted to rear flue exit if required. This model comes with an original flush seal front and corresponding solid flush sealing door.
