Vintage 1976 Marshall, Model 1987, MKII JMP head.
First of all, let me begin with some background history of this amp and the price will reflect it:
I picked this head up around 2009 during a pawn shop run. I had hopes it was going to be a candidate to go with a white 1960A or 1960B speaker cabinet.
I also hoped to find an original Drake Power Transformer (Duh), but after lugging it around for so many years, I decided to put it up for sale.
I am not sure if the box is original, as it seems to have some OEM straight slot type screws holding on the front baffle. The back baffle is a repro with a replacement vent and replacement attachment screws. All in all a great presentation of an early 1976 large box cabinet without the change over to plastic corners.
The white Vinyl is probably repro, but done very well, with very few biffs and scuffs. The Marshall Logo is a repro. The feet, handle and bottom chassis mount screws are repro's. The knobs are original to this amp, so may or may not be repro's.
The front chassis and rear chassis panels are both very nice Mojotone Plexi reproductions. I have the original front panel and somewhere have the rear panel. I am in process of looking around for the rear panel piece, but it has moved around a bit in the last few years. They both had seen better days. The front was cracked and hanging out at the on off and standby switch area. The rear was missing all but the piece that is in the picture.
I had to modify the chassis at the ac power inlet to accommodate the use of an IEC power cord, as it had the 2 prong power cord and the Mojotone panel was punched for same. The chassis had another hole drilled out, not sure what it was for.
It is now also grounded. The original and a new IEC cord will be included.

FEEDBACK:
I take all of my auctions and payments received, along with customer satisfaction, very seriously and I strive to make every auction simple, fun and painless to the successful bidder. Since eBay has recently changed their feedback policy, especially the Seller feedback placed by the Buyer, it has now become even more important, to facilitate a highly positive environment for both the Buyer and the Seller, as I have always felt this to be necessary, so I now will ONLY leave reciprocating, positive feedback for the Buyer, upon my successful receipt of positive feedback, left for me by the satisfied, winning Buyer. NO EXCEPTIONS!
